I have FSH Muscular Dystrophy (FSHMD), an incurable, untreatable, muscle-wasting disorder. When I was diagnosed doctors advised me to "take it easy" and “not overdo it.”

I respect the doctors’ advice but I choose to define my own limits.  I can no longer do a pushup, a sit up, or even raise my arms over my head, but I live every day with a deep passion that comes from loving what I do and knowing that it will be increasingly challenging to do it.

This site chronicles some of my adventures as I strive to live life to the fullest while redefining what is possible for someone living with a disability like mine.

The site is intended to serve as a beacon of hope for people, with and without disabilities, who want to discover their own limits rather than have them imposed by others.  It is intended to be a reminder that even though you can’t always choose what challenges you will face, you can choose how you will respond.

There is no dress rehearsal, this is LIFE!

There are now more opportunities than ever to enjoy an active lifestyle no matter what level of physical ability you have.  If I can help in any way please feel free to contact me any time.
